I'm Still Here and I have an Excuse

No I didn't lose interest in the blog that quickly. In truth, something monumental happened in my life...

BioShock Infinite

The 3rd iteration of this FPS series was, in a word, perfect. I tweeted earlier this week, attributing the game to a good book, the type of book that you find yourself reading on an annual basis. There was so much compelling story that, here I am, three days after finishing it and I'm still thinking about the various twists and plot points as if it were a season of LOST.

If I had one complaint about the new BioShock, it is this: The first Bioshock game did a fantastic job at scaring the ever-loving crap out of me, right out the gate. I will never forget how jarring the Medical Pavilion was. Bioshock 1 took full advantage of darkness, the shadows and the overall creepy and claustrophobic feeling of being trapped in a city built deep in the ocean. Bioshock Infinite took place in a city in the sky. It was saturated in sunlight and completely removed that fear of the unseen unknown.

But I digress. Go out and play the game. It's awesome.

I'm finishing up the section of the story that takes place after the posted section entitled "Five Years". My hope is to develop the story's primary character, Ariel Lessard, in this section. I'll post it as soon as it's finished, in a few days, give or take. From there I'll be able to start introducing other characters and start developing a basic plot. I have an idea of where things are going, but nothing I really committed to just yet.

I'm also looking for feedback and support so please, by all means leave comments. You don't have to register a new account if you don't want to. You can use your Facebook login or Twitter handle.

Anyway, I wanted to let everyone know that I'm not dead and that I'll have more content posted soon.
